Long time no post xD Been busy with work and apps and stuff. Plus regular outings with friends on weekends or after work. :) So life's good and I'm kinda looking forward to starting school! Interesting anecdote:
Last night a neighbour's dog kept barking and yelping non-stop. Quite late into the night some other neighbour couldn't stand it and yelled from his balcony, "Shut your bloody dog!"
This morning on the train someone was listening to music through earphones. Unfortunately due to reasons unknown, possibly because of faulty earphones (?) or maybe the guy has unusually high tolerance for music volume, i think the entire train cabin was listening to the same songs as him. It was kinda annoying (cos heavy rock is not my thing) and I couldn't help being reminded of the incident with the dog from the night before.
I'm not sure if a dog can be 'shut up' so easily, but it's definitely possible to do it with a music player. I'm not going to compare this guy to a dog for fear of being accused of making insensitive remarks, but I do believe that a key difference between humans and animals lies in the ability to exercise self-restraint. And if commuters are unable to grasp that, perhaps keeping music volume down should be included under SMRT's courtesy campaign in the future.
Haha this is a really cute MV even though at first it's quite sexist. :P I rmb I used to hum this song when I go to work in the morning when I first started work (and hence was still quite high about going to office). It really puts you in a happy mood haha. :)
Nowadays there are many things going on. Some good news, and some not-so-good ones. I guess I'm quite glad that it didn't affect me that badly and that I managed to keep calm and carry on. :) As I wrote before: when one door closes, another window opens. And as long as you have the right mindset, changes in external circumstances will not make or break you.
For good things come to those who wait. And I look forward. :)
