yay co! :)

Yesterday was the DHS pre-syf concert! The rehearsal was super screwed, but the real thing was way better, even though we definitely could have done better! I was kind of freaked out over my v short solo (which was only around 3 bars actually) and I kept being obsessed over the fact that my 轮 was very uneven. So I pracced those few notes repeatedly but it just wouldn't improve! And yeah I was getting quite depressed over that fact. Especially after how I panicked and screwed it up real badly during the rehearsal. :( But then well today when I went for lesson with yu ls I asked her about it. Cos seriously how can something like 基本功 deprove upon practice? And she said probably cos I was too nervous (which I totally agree) and that I was obsessing too much over the exact execution of the notes. Sometimes paying TOO MUCH attention to details can distract you from the big picture!

Anyway yesterday I could feel myself being super tensed and not being able to move or express much when playing. (But I did try...) Which shows how important it is to practise a lot until on stage you just play it instinctively. :) But after this week's intensive practice my fingers hurt a lot, and during pipa lesson today I owned up to yu ls that I didn't prac her stuff much cos of intensive school co pracs plus painful fingers. :P But she was quite nice about it. And I am glad that I managed to kind of solve a problem in my 基本功 that has persisted for quite long by paying extra attention over the past couple of weeks. :)

But actually for the concert we played quite ok-ish. Even though we did make mistakes and stuff there was nothing seriously major. And the start of 漠楼 was quite good, better than a lot of pracs in fact. Just that we didn't maintain that standard but it's ok! And of course we can still work a bit more on cooperation with wang ls but seeing how we have improved so much already I am sure that this week's intensive prac will do the trick. :) And qianwen told us that we played well, just that we looked super crestfallen, even when we were walking on stage. (Which is probably due to low morale, especially after the gross rehearsal.) So we need to move more and both look and sound more confident. But she also said that the solo parts need to be worked on (I agree), and I guess this may be due to low confidence as well.

But well I think gold with honours is definitely a possibility, just as long as we solve the problem of low confidence! We have really come far, from HOPING for a Gold (while actually thinking we'll get a silve/bronze) to actually AIMING for Gold with Honours. And the experience yesterday was really fun, not considering the part where I was depressed. :P It was so COOL squeezing the entire CO into one classroom and autopiloting with the pouring rain outside! Not to mention the RAFFLES CHEERS! Even though I wasn't really cheering, cos I was a bit low in energy, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the feeling of bondedness that we displayed as an orchestra.

At some points of time I was getting quite fed up with the amount of noise that we were making and stuff. Grrrrrr. But I shan't get angry again cos it's over anyway. And I shall complain about the SYF uniform again. The skirt is terrible to walk around in, especially when you are trying to climb stairs quickly. And the stockings are kind of irritating. (Btw I bought NATURAL coloured stockings, but they made my legs look weirdly white. How natural is that???) Plus of course the gross COURT SHOES. After so many years I still hate them. ><

Ah and now is time for pictures!

tienli took a picture of me during dazu in the morning and I have this super surprised look on my face :P

lunch!

er from the other end of the table :)

vivian/yunan took a picture of me with a weird expression on my face ont he bus to DHS

cute junior nicole with evil batchmate tienli :)

wang ls!

getting ready to go for rehearsal!

cute picture! (gosh my grin looks O.o)

And omg how can I have forgotten to mention that our seniors came to watch the concert and visit us?PIPA!

Actually huiwen also came back, but I can't find the picture with her in it. Anyway we took the bus back to school together. :) (Lu ls and huang ls discovered that they had 3 additional members to RGCO.) And on the way we were talking and laughing SOOOOOO loudly. Haha! And with tienli+qianwen around you can guess how sick the conservation went! After we reached school tienli had to go off and qianwen, lanya, huiwen, nina, weiyi, yunan, michellin and me went out for dinner together at far east. On the way we suddenly realised the huiwen and nina disappeared to eat on their own, but after a while they did come to KFC to visit us but left again in a couple of minutes. Lol.

It was so so so so so fun having seniors back! (Haha i seem to say that again and again. But it's so so so so true!) We were talking about weird random topics and making quite a lot of noise again! And they kept trying to tease me about a non-existent scandal! I am so totally innocent!!! But well seeing that it is tienli who blurted it out everyone knows that the source is unreliable so haha no one really believes her! :) And anyway it was invented by yunan in an attempt to divert attention from her own scandalous rumours...evil pedophile! But don't worry yunan as qianwen and lanya says you have everyone's blessings. :)

So yay talking to seniors totally dispelled the gloom of depression that I felt previously. Can't really imagine myself as a senior coming back to visit juniors though. Shall try enjoy my last bit of RGCO experience as much as I can I guess. Next week I shall go and visit seniors during their xiaozu during ORA! :) Haha and qianwen is the SL so no need to be scared of "disturbing" their prac! :P

Yay again and shall end now. Long post again haha.

P.S. Oh yeah just remembered:

Jiahui: Er I am trying to cut short my blog posts...but as you see obviously not succeeding :P

Celeste: Seriously celeste how blur can you be? Anyway it is the coming saturday, so er don't forget to report for Walkathon! :)
