Forever Young

sick on chinese new year

I am feeling terrible! Is it bad luck to fall sick on Chinese New Year? I didn't know that it was going to be so bad! Granted, I only have flu, but I've been feeling super feverish since last night and my nose is running like an open tap! Yesterday when we went visiting it was still not so bad, cos I could actually manage to control my runny nose (although I admit I was sniffling a lot. I hope no one thinks that I was sniffling cos of the TV show. -_-) and I kept on drinking coke/tea to keep down my sore throat. Which is why I went to the toilet a lot of times. Today I woke up with a throbbing headache and an extremely uncomfortable nose, which almost made me unable to fall asleep the night before. Anyway currently the bin beside my bed is already half full with the tissues that I used. :( Luckily I don't have a fever. My temperature has been hovering around 37 degrees, though. I almost didn't do anything today cos after lunch my headache was so bad that I decided to retire to bed. And I only fell asleep after a long time partially cos I was feeling so terrible and partially cos the karaoke music blaring from outside.

Well at least I got to stay at home today! Maybe I should count myself lucky that I don't have too many relatives in Singapore. Tomorrow my uncle's family is coming over, though. I hope I don't spread the germs to my cousins. My mom gave me some flu medicine that the doctor prescribed for me the last time I was sick, sometime end in november last year I think. I know it's not good, but not like my illness is that bad. I hope I get better soon!

Last thurs and fri swetha came back! And we went on for dinner on thurs plus for lunch on fri. All of us really missed her! I shall upload the pictures that Sarah sent me:

Dinner at Swensen's on thurs. Sorry for the gross half-eaten food. :P

On friday sitting down outside a shopping centre in orchard (with a lot of pigeons coming to bother us)

Haha on friday we wandered around a long time getting into people's way cos we didn't know what to do and where to go. In the end we sat down somewhere ulu on the steps outside taka or something. And talked about random stuff for a couple of hours. A few of us went home together on 190. I walked Swetha to the block where she was staying in my condo and we made the realisation that the magnetic card that you tap to open the door cannot be used for other blocks. We waved goodbye when she was in the lift and the doors were closing. A bit like what they always do on TV or something. After a couple of hours she was leaving for the airport I think, and she called me to wave at her from my balcony. The blur swetha took a long time to figure out which balcony I was on. And we waved crazily at each other. I hope none of the neighbours got freaked out!

Sigh I hope swetha does get to come back to Singapore next year. Will miss her very much. :(

Ah I need to chiong my homework! And I haven't been praccing for my pipa lesson cos I am sick (or rather lazy). I don't want to go back to school. And plus on thurs we will be having the second CO trials. I will erm try my very best to fight the other SLs for pro juniors, but I think some other sections do have more urgent need that us. I hope we end up with nice juniors this year!
